Lamb Back Straps with Five Spice

Ingredients

  • 120g lamb back straps
  • 1 teaspoon five spice powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 30ml soy sauce
  • 75ml chinese rice wine
  • ½ tablespoon tamarind concentrate
  • 2 tablespoons artificial sweetener
  • 1 cm fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 150ml water
Method

Combine all ingredients and pour over lamb in a small baking dish. Bake at 175°C, turning meat occasionally, for 20 minutes.
